Sedgwick D.
Hines is an author and self-publisher of Aviation Scholarship
Directory, The Scholarship Workbook, and other
forthcoming books, publisher of AvScholars.com,
and owner of AvScholars Publishing, LLC.. He graduated from
Purdue University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Technology
in 1994. Mr. Hines is a professional airline pilot as well,
in which the scholarships and other forms of financial aid
he received allowed him to purse his childhood dream of becoming
an airline pilot.
Sedgwick offers two-hour financial aid (scholarship) workshops, in which he adapts
the workshop’s content to the needs of students and parents. All
workshops combine lecture, financial aid experiences, motivation, and inspiration.
Participants are encouraged to purchase a copy of The Scholarship Workbook, since
the financial aid workshops’ information is excerpted from the workbook. Otherwise,
participants should bring notepads and pens to take notes.
Workshop fees begin with travel and travel-related expenses
and a modest base rate. In some venues, fees may be reduced or waived if
on-site exhibits or sales of books are permitted.
