What is an eBook?
eBooks are electronic books that can be stored and read on a computer screen or printed on paper, if the author has permitted the print option.
What types of eBook format are there?
There are many different formats available, both secure and non-secure. Each format requires a method of reading the eBook. For example, a .doc eBook, created in Microsoft Word will naturally require access to the MS Word application to read it. Similarly, .pdf eBooks, require access to Adobe Acrobat Reader to view. ‘.Exe’ or ‘.Ebk’ applications will require access to the software application in which they were created.
Our eBooks were created using eBook Pro professional software and you will automatically receive secure access to the eBook Pro Viewer software.
What are the advantages of eBooks over regular books?
They contain all the elements of a traditional book but are easier to navigate and offer a high level of interactivity not possible in print editions. eBooks come in the form of simple programs that you can download and store on your PC.
eBooks can be delivered in an instant and at no extra cost via direct download from the Internet or as an attachment in an email message. There are a number of different eBook formats that work on different types of computers and use different types of 'reading' or ‘viewing’ software.
How do I get an eBook?
The most common way to get an eBook is to download it directly to your PC over the Internet. This can usually be done anytime day-or-night. Another way to get eBooks is to order them on CD.
How do I read an eBook?
eBooks are usually read on your PC either by double-clicking the eBook file itself to open it for reading or by using special eBook ‘reader software. Our eBooks come in a single .exe file that you download, in which the eBook Viewer is included with the eBook. All you do is double click on the file, the eBook will launch and you will be able to view it.

What is eBook Pro Viewer?
eBook Pro is the software with which your eBook was created. eBook Pro viewer is the software application provided with your eBook to enable you to download and access your book.
Why do I need this software?
Our eBooks were created using the eBook Pro software. Great care was taken in compiling the eBook into a user-friendly format ensuring maximum reading pleasure. The eBook Pro Viewer software is required to read.
Do I need to download the eBook viewer software separately?
No. The Viewer software will automatically download when you download your eBook.
Am I charged extra for the software?
No. The viewer software carries no additional cost whatsoever.
Do I need to Unzip the eBook?
No. Your eBook is delivered in .exe format. You are not required to unzip the eBook.
Will eBook Pro Viewer run on a Mac?
Mac users should note that eBook Pro Software only runs on a Windows-based PC Platform.
If you are using a Mac you will need a PC Emulator program.
Do I have the latest version of eBook Pro Viewer?
Your eBook includes the eBook Pro Viewer. So, don’t worry about having the latest eBook viewer.
Can I download my eBook to another computer?
When you register your eBook for the first time you must register it. You may download your eBook to only one PC computer.
What are the system requirements for viewing the eBooks?
To run all versions of our eBooks please check that your computer system complies with the following requirements: Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000 or Windows XP. You have Internet Explorer 4 or 5 or later installed on your system, Internet Connection for registration.

How does your online eBook ordering process work?
The order process is very simple. When you click on any of the ‘Order Now’ buttons on the www.scholarshipworkbook.com web site you are immediately taken to ClickBank or PayPal SECURE payment form. You will make your payment on their secure online ordering system. You can use PayPal to purchase our eBooks whether or not you are registered with them.
When your payment transaction is complete, you will be direct to our ‘Payment Complete - Download Instructions’ web page to input your contact information. After completing this online form, you will receive an email sent to your Inbox with a few minutes with full instructions on how to download and access the eBook.
Is it safe to order online?

I have a billing problem, what can I do?
You should note that your purchase will appear on your credit card or bank statement as 'CLICKBANK' or ‘PAYPAL*AVSCHOLARSP.

Can I purchase an eBook with a check?
No, we accept credit card orders only, which allow for instant delivery of your product. I no longer offer the option of paying by check because people were placing orders but never got around to posting a check or their checks bounced.
Can I purchase an eBook over the phone?
No, consistent with the electronic nature of this product, you can only order eBooks online.
How long does it take to process my order?
From the time you click the ‘Order Now’ button, your eBook can be with you in a matter of minutes after your payment has been processed. All orders are processed real-time i.e. instantly.
Is there postage for ordering the eBook?
No. There is no shipping charge for eBooks since you will download them. Postage will NOT be added to eBooks.
How soon will you send my eBook?
Instructions will be emailed to you: after your online payment has been processed, and then you will be directed to our ‘Download Instructions’ page where you will enter your information in our web form to complete your order and receive instructions form downloading your eBook.
What is your eBook refund policy?
We have a 100% hassle free refund policy for eBooks. Because we are so confident that you will find your eBook to very helpful, we offer a 8-week refund option to all customers. In the event of a refund request, we will promptly refund the full purchase price. All bonuses are, of course, yours to keep.
Can I still use my eBook if I get a refund?
No. If you request a refund, your registered eBook will be disabled and you will no longer be able to access the book. All bonuses are yours to keep.
Downloading, Registering, and Accessing the eBook
What type of file is the eBook?
The eBook is delivered in a .exe file format.
Why do I need to register my eBook to view it?
Registration of your eBook enables us to keep a record of all sold or freely downloaded eBooks thus protecting them from being illegally copied or distributed elsewhere on the Internet. There is nothing worse than an author spending a lot of time and energy creating a masterpiece only to find that someone has copied it and is illegally distributing it elsewhere.
How do I register the eBook?
- Note that the first time you run the eBook; there are a few requirements that must be met.
a.) You must be connected to the Internet. To do this, you can either double-click on your "Internet Explorer" icon, or follow the instructions provided by your ISP.
b.) You must be on a PC. If you have an Apple computer you will need to purchase and use Virtual PC software program which is available through Microsoft in order to use the eBook.
c.) You must have Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher installed on your computer. We recommend that you use the most current version of Internet Explorer, which is version 6.
- The first thing you will need to do when you open your eBook is to register it. You can do this in a number of ways.
First, you can click anywhere within the eBook. By doing this, the registration box will appear and you can enter your Username and Password (which is provided below). The other two ways are by clicking on the "R" symbol in the toolbar, or by clicking on "Help" and then "Register". Note that after registering your eBook, the red “R” on the menu will change to a red “U”. If you want to unregister your eBook, click the “U”.
- In the Username and Password field, enter the following information.
Please make certain that you enter your Username and Password exactly as shown or the registration process will not complete. Once you have entered this information, click "OK" and the registration process will begin.

- Once you have finished registering, the dialog box will disappear and you will be able to freely navigate the eBook.
I didn't get my eBook codes.
Your eBook codes are emailed to you after your payment has been processed, As soon as your payment is processed, you will be automatically transferred to the download instructions page. You will be given full instructions on how to download the 'The Scholarship eWorkbook' ebook. Please allow up to 15 minutes if for the email to make its way through cyberspace before contacting us. Depending on network loads, this email can take a little longer than normal.
If you don't find them in your inbox, then look in your "junk mail" or "spam" folder. Some ISP's (like Earthlink & AOL ) reject emails from people not on your approved list. Be sure to add the following email addresses to your address book.
Adding these email addresses to your address book will help ensure you get your eBook codes and other important emails from us.
Another possible reason for not getting your eBook codes is that your email address may be listed incorrectly with PayPal. After purchase, PayPal emails us a copy of your receipt which contains your email address. That email address is entered into our system and your eBook codes are then sent to you. If your email address is listed incorrectly with PayPal, then those codes will be sent to the wrong email address.
You can easily check your email address in PayPal by logging into your account. It will be displayed under your name on the "my account" page. You can also click the "profile" tab and then the "email" link. If your email address is listed incorrectly, contact PayPal to get it corrected. In the mean time, be sure to contact us too so we can resend your eBook codes to you immediately.
If you still haven't received your email with the eBook codes, add the email addresses above to your address book and then contact us and we'll resend the codes.
What is my email address used for?
You email is used to send you the eBook’s download instructions. In addition, we will occasionally send you a newsletter and follow-up letters by email. This newsletter is designed to compliment your eBook purchase and/or free eBook with information, advice, and tips to help you apply for financial aid and scholarships.
Note: Your contact information is never sold.
Can I unsubscribe from the newsletter?
Yes. There are ‘unsubscribe’ instructions at the bottom of each email we send. Just follow the instructions to ‘unsubscribe’ and you will be removed immediately.
How long will the download take?
Depending on your connection type, the time will vary from a few seconds to a few minutes.
You will only need to download once, not each time you use your eBook.
What if I get disconnected during the download process?
If your internet connection is interrupted during the download process, please retry the download process again.
I no longer have the email with the download instructions - what can I do?
If you have already registered your eBook, then you can access your eBook without the initial code. If you would like a copy of the email sent to you, please use our Contact Us form – Be sure to include your name, the person who bought it, the purchase date/month (if possible). We will then check your information in our database to confirm your order. If your order can be confirmed, we will send you an email with the download instructions.
How long can I access the downloads?
It is highly recommended that you download your eBook immediately following purchase. In the event that you do not download the eBook immediately, you will be able to carry out the download process at a later stage. However, we often change the download coding to prevent illegal downloads.
I downloaded a copy of the eBook onto my PC but I can't find it - what can I do?
If you're certain that you have successfully downloaded your eBook but cannot find it on your PC, try the following:
From your Start menu, choose 'Search', key in “the eBook’s name” (no inverted commas or quotes), search your hard drive or wherever you think you saved the file. This should locate your file for you. Alternatively, you could search using the .exe file extension to locate all such files on your computer.
Will the eBook be mailed to me?
No. The eBook is in digital form. This means that you have to download it from the internet. From there you can read it on your computer. The big advantage to this format is that reading it on the computer allows you to easily go to linked pages and other content. Some of links take you to other web pages and you'll also need to be connected to the internet to access those pages.
The other big advantage for you in having an eBook is that you'll get free updates for life! That's because it's easy for us to update and redistribute the eBook over the internet - something we could not do as easily with a printed book.
How do I access the contents of the downloaded eBook?
Once you download the eBook, you can view it by double-clicking on the eBook file and this will automatically launch the eBook and the eBook Viewer.
What is the username and password for my eBook?
The username and password are in the email message sent to you with the ‘Download Instructions.’
What if I've already registered my eBook but I want to access it on another computer?
For security reasons and to protect the intellectual property of the Author, each registered eBook is unique and can only be run on one PC computer at a time. Upon first launching your eBook, you will need to register it. If you want to view the eBook on another computer you will first need to Unregister it. You can do this from the eBook viewer itself. Once the E-Book is unregistered you just need to Register it again on the other computer.
What if I'm a registered user and my computer crashes?
We realize things like this can happen. In such cases you will not have to purchase another copy. If you're a registered user and your computer crashes and you want to run the EBook on a new hard drive just contact us and we'll send you new registration details.
Can your "eBooks" carry a virus onto my computer or cause other problems?
No.
How will I know there is an update to the eBook?
We will email you when the eBook has been updated (another reason to add our email address to your address books and to subscribe to our Financial Aid Tips eNewsletter.). But if you ever have doubt as to whether you have the most recent version, you can download the eBook again using the download instructions that was sent to you at the time of purchase by email. If you don’t have your download instructions, contact us and be sure to include your proof of purchase (name of purchaser, your order number) and the title of the eBook.
How do I upgrade to the latest version of an eBook that has Free Lifetime Upgrades?
When you purchase an eBook we will send you complete download and viewing instructions. Please keep this email and when a new version of the eBook that you purchased is released just click on the download link in the email to get the new version.
Do I need to be connected to the Internet to read my eBook?
No. Once you have registered your eBook (for which you do need to be online) you can view your eBook offline, as you would any other document on your PC. But some of the links in the eBook are to other web pages and you will not be able to view them unless you are connected to the internet.
However, every now and then (very rarely) the eBook will prompt you to connect to the Internet if you have been not connected for a while. This is to confirm your eBook’s registration.
Printing and Copying Questions
Can I print or copy my eBook?
No. In order to protect the copyright holder, our eBooks cannot be printed or copied.
Can I print my free eBook?
At this present time, NO. You cannot print your free eBook.
How do I print my eBook?
You can print your eBook from within the eBook viewer, if allowed by the author. An eBook can be printed by going toFile-> Print in the eBook itself.
My eBook is not printing correctly, what's wrong?
If you are trying to print your eBook but it is printing off the edges of the page, it is your printer settings that need to be changed.
You can alter how your printer is set for default and set it so that the page will fit.
In your eBook, go to File->Print Setup->Printer Properties->Effects->Zoom Smart .
Check both the options for
1. Set it to print to Letter
2. Select scale to fit
If that doesn't work, you could also set the printer to print landscape rather than portrait, which means more printed pages, but it should all print correctly for you.
If you need help configuring your printer, please check your printer user manual.
Do you supply a printed version of the eBooks?
NO. It would be very expensive to print a minimum quantity of, say, 1000 books (as required by most printing companies). In addition, you'd have to pay shipping costs and you'd have to wait for the post.
